Important definitions
Habitat: where an organism lives
Population: all the organisms of a species in a habitat
Community: Different species in a habitat
Ecosystems: All organisms in an area and all of the non-living conditions

Quadrats
- Square frame enclosing a known area

1. Place a 1m ² quadrat on a random of investigation 
2. Count all organisms in quadrat 
3. Multiply number by total area of habitat
